Clarendon Park HOA Board Meeting

The Clarendon Park HOA Board will meet via conference call on Thursday, December 9 at 5:30 PM.  If homeowners have any issues that they would like to discuss with the board there will be an open forum at the beginning of the call.  Please contact Chelsie Throckmorton at cthrockmorton@gocampmgmt.com if you would like to participate.  She will give you dial in information.
Gate Still Not Working

In late August, Clarendon Park HOA contracted with a new vendor to evaluate the problems with the gate not opening and closing properly. When the company was onsite it was discovered that the problems with the gate were greater than we had anticipated and new parts had to be ordered.  The parts should arrive next week and we hope repairs will begin on Tuesday, October 12.
Danville Street Gate Repairs

The gate that leads to the alleyway on Danville Street is scheduled to be repaired on Friday, August 27.  The parts have arrived and hopefully the gate will be operational again by Friday afternoon.  Thank you for your patience and sorry for the inconvenience.
Clarendon Park HOA Annual Meeting

In accordance with the Association's Bylaws, Article IV, Annual Meetings, please be advised that the Annual Meeting of the Association will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at 7:00 PM via GoToMeeting. The homeowners will elect two new board members and an update on the community will be given.  The management company will mail official proxy forms and instructions on how to participate.  It is important that we receive 14 proxy forms for the meeting to be official so please return your forms to the management company.

The Clarendon Park HOA Board meeting will be held Tuesday, June 8 at 5:30 PM via conference call.  Call details have been mailed to homeowners.  The Board will be discussing homeowner architectural requests; the Danville Street gate and repairs; trellis painting; and business about virtual meetings and electronic voting.  We will begin the meeting with a homeowners open forum.  
New Plantings Need Water

On Friday, June 4 and Saturday, June 5, the Clarendon Park landscaping contractor will be completing enhancements in the rear of the townhomes.  There are no automatic sprinklers in the back of the homes so we ask that homeowners and their tenants water these new plantings over the summer to help them thrive.  Thank you for your help in keeping Clarendon Park beautiful.
Executive Session

The Clarendon Park Board will hold an executive session meeting on May 20 at 6PM for the purpose of discussing covenants and future projects.  The meeting is only for members of the Board.

The Clarendon Park HOA will hold its regular board meeting on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at 5:00 PM via GoToMeeting. Details on how to participate will be sent via email to homeowners. We will be discussing the engagement letter for the 2020 audit, a proposal for landscaping improvements and a proposal for an LED courtyard light upgrade. Homeowners are welcome to an open forum we will hold at the beginning of the call and may stay on to hear the board members discussions. Only board members may vote on board items in the meeting.

A meeting of the Clarendon Park HOA Board will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 1 at 4:00 PM.  The meeting will mostly center around the board's need to approve contracts for some vendors for 2021.  This meeting will be over GoToMeeting and not in person.  If you have a topic that you would like for the board to discuss or a comments to make please contact our property manager Chelsie Throckmorton at cthrockmorton@gocampmgmt.com.  She can also provide you participation details if you wish to participate.
Clarendon Park Asphalt Repairs

The board has recently approved a contract for asphalt repairs, crackseal and sealcoating of the paved areas of our Clarendon Park property.  Below is a proposed schedule and click here to view a map of the sealcoat plan.
 
Asphalt patches will be done on September 16 from 7:00 AM until 5:00 PM.  Once the patches are complete you may park in your spaces that are outside of your garage.
 
Crackseal and Sealcoat will be conducted on September 21 and September 22 and you will not be able to park on any of the paved areas in the community during this time. Please make arrangements to move your car to the reserved parking spaces, the street or in the garage at the market common shopping center for those days. 
Clarendon Park HOA "VIRTUAL" 2020 Annual Meeting

The Clarendon Park HOA 2020 Annual Meeting will be held virtually through a GoToMeeting link that will be both mailed and emailed to homeowners of record.  This meeting will be held at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, August 18, 2020. The Association's Bylaws allow for owners to attend the Annual Meeting in person or by proxy.  In compliance with the Governor's Executive Orders, the Association cannot have owners gather in person so it is critical that owners attend by proxy. Participation on the GoToMeeting conference call WILL NOT count as attendance at the meeting for purpose of the quorum, therefore the completed proxy is critical.  You can find the proxy attached here.  Please return this immediately by email to cthrockmorton@gocampmgmt.com or by fax to (571) 363-4050.

The Clarendon Park Homeowners Association Board will meet via conference call on Thursday, November 14 at 7:30 PM.  Homeowners are welcome to dial-in and we will have an open forum for comments.  However, only board members can vote on official business.  The dial-in information will be sent via email.
Trash and Recycling 2019 Holiday Schedule

The Clarendon Park garbage contractor, Republic Services, has released its holiday schedule for trash pickup.  The schedule is as follows:
 
Thanksgiving (Thursday, November 28)
Trash and recycling services will run as normal Thanksgiving week.  Trash will be picked up Tuesday, November 26 and Friday, November 29.  Recycling will be picked up on Wednesday, November 27.
 
Christmas (Wednesday, December 25)
Trash will be picked up as normal on Tuesday, December 24 and Friday, December 27.  Recycling will not run on Wednesday, December 25 and will instead be picked up on SATURDAY, December 28.
 
New Year's Day (Wednesday, January 1)
Recycling will not be picked up on Wednesday, January 1 and will instead be picked up on SATURDAY, January 4.
 
Christmas Tree Removal (2nd and 3rd week of January)
Christmas trees will be picked up on Tuesday, January 7; Friday, January 10; Tuesday, January 14; and Friday, January 17.
 
Election Results - 2019 Annual Meeting

In Accordance with the Association's Bylaws, Article IV, Annual Meetings, please be advised that the Annual Meeting of the Association will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at 7:00 PM in the condominium space above the retail shopping area located on the second floor of 2800 Clarendon BLVD., Suite 980.  The location of this office is the sidewalk/ street accessed directly between the stores of JoS. A. Bank and Crate & Barrel and is on the ground level identified as 2800 - Leasing Office.
Market Common Noise Exemption

The general contractor currently working on the new Market Common Clarendon construction project located at 2801 Clarendon Blvd has requested a Noise Exemption Request from the County for the first of several individual concrete pours between 4:00 am – 7:00 am starting with this Monday, 7/29/19.  The purpose of this request is to allow the heavy construction traffic associated with this work to take place prior to the morning rush hours & while they don’t expect this operation to exceed the maximum permissible noise levels, they are applying for the exemption & notifying all adjacent civic associations as a precaution so that everyone is aware.
 
This work will include the following activities:
  • Concrete trucks entering & exiting the service alley off Wilson Blvd adjacent to the Whitlows on Wilson restaurant (see site map below with areas outlined in red)
  • The operation of a concrete pump in the service alley.
  • The operation of concrete trowel machines on the various floors of the building.
11th & Daniel Park Renovation

The first scoping meeting to discuss the upcoming public space renovation will be held at the site on 11th Street North and N. The Clarendon Park HOA Board will meet on Tuesday, May 28 at 7:30 via conference call.  Homeowners are welcome to dial in and participate during an owners open forum part of the meeting.  The board will be discussing repairs to the gate at the shopping center alley; improving interest rates on reserve investments; the renewal of the trash contract and other property repairs. The Clarendon Park Homeowners Association Annual Meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 8 at 7:30 PM.  All homeowners are welcome and encouraged to attend.  The meeting will take place in the community room at the Market Common apartments.  The public entrance to the space is located between the Joseph A Bank store and the parking garage.  When you enter the building notify the concierge that you are attending the Clarendon Park HOA Annual Meeting and you will be directed to the space on the 2nd floor.  There is not a public entrance on the second floor.

The Clarendon Park Homeowner Association Board meetings for the remainder of 2018 are scheduled as follows:
 
  • Wednesday, May 9
  • Wednesday, August 8 (Annual Meeting)
  • Tuesday, November 6 (Budget Meeting)
The meetings will be held in the meeting room in the Market Common apartments.  The entrance to the meeting space is located between the Joseph A Bank store and the entrance to the parking garage.  You should enter the apartment building and inform the desk you are attending the Clarendon Park Homeowners Association meeting. You will then be directed to the 2nd floor meeting space.  There is not an open entrance on the second floor for the public.
Market Common Shopping Center Open House

Clarendon Park neighbors have been invited to an open house at the Market Common Shopping Center.  The open house is scheduled for May 10, 2017 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will be held in the courtyard across from Barnes & Noble.  Come share your ideas for the future of the community, meet the new management and enjoy complimentary tastings from Market Common restaurants.
Bar Crawl Discussion - CCCA

The Clarendon Courthouse Community Association will hold its next meeting on Tuesday, March 15 at 7:30 PM.  The meeting will be held in the community room at 2500 Clarendon Blvd.  The primary discussion of the meeting will be community bar crawls.  Organizers of this past weekend's bar crawl along with county staff who work the event will be in attendance.  We encourage homeowners with strong views on this issue to show up and participate.

Property Improvements 2013/2014

The following improvements have been made to the Clarendon Park Community since June 2013:
  • Completed community-wide power washing of common area brick and stone work
  • Implemented new parking pass system to minimize abuse of four neighborhood guest parking spots
  • Negotiated with AAA Trash for homeowners to have the option of smaller trash cans or larger recycle bin options
  • Repaired brick walkways in several Danville Street courtyards to alleviate flooding issues
  • Made repairs to walkways and common areas
  • Installed new lighting in the common areas and on the stairs leading from Danville Street to the shops (safety issue)
  • Installed river stones along Danville, Fillmore, and the service alley
  • Removed aging trees and plantings
  • Installed new plantings and landscape throughout property
  • Installed new plantings in the pass-through between B&N and the park
  • Added planters in two Danville courtyards
  • Removed serviceberry trees to keep the property cleaner and to avoid damage to retaining walls
