Market Common Noise Exemption
Posted on Jul 25th, 2019 Comments (0)
The general contractor currently working on the new Market Common Clarendon construction project located at 2801 Clarendon Blvd has requested a Noise Exemption Request from the County for the first of several individual concrete pours between 4:00 am – 7:00 am starting with this Monday, 7/29/19.  The purpose of this request is to allow the heavy construction traffic associated with this work to take place prior to the morning rush hours & while they don’t expect this operation to exceed the maximum permissible noise levels, they are applying for the exemption & notifying all adjacent civic associations as a precaution so that everyone is aware.

This work will include the following activities:
  • Concrete trucks entering & exiting the service alley off Wilson Blvd adjacent to the Whitlows on Wilson restaurant (see site map below with areas outlined in red)
  • The operation of a concrete pump in the service alley.
  • The operation of concrete trowel machines on the various floors of the building.
